Hello, my name is Robyn Huntley. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and Minnesota native. My husband (who’s originally from Jacksonville), recently convinced me to leave the cold Minnesota winters behind and move across the country to be near to family and the ocean. Just as we settled into our new home, my husband and I welcomed the arrival of our first child (talk about a whirlwind transition)! We are enjoying the Florida sunshine and Southern hospitality and kindness of our new friends.
Using ten years of clinical experience, coupled with research-based approaches that have proven effectiveness, I have helped thousands of individuals and couples who struggle with various issues, including communication and conflict, lack of intimacy, infidelity, trauma, and rejection and abandonment.
If you’re in a relationship and tired of being disconnected, I’d like to help. Do you find it difficult to talk to your partner? Ever feel like you’re living with a roommate, rather than your lover? Are you struggling with physical or sexual intimacy, yet conversations about it end in a fight or avoiding it altogether? Living disconnected with your partner is emotionally draining and disappointing. But things can change. You can experience happiness again and feel more connected and fulfilled in your relationships. Change is possible. You can start now.
If you’ve experienced trauma, unhealthy relationships, rejection, or family problems, it can leave emotional wounds. Sometimes, these disappointments and hurts from your past hold you back from fulfilling relationships, and your past negatively impacts your present life. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. You can be free of the shame, disappointment and hurt from the past. You deserve a healthy, happy relationship and fulfilling life. I am passionate about helping you overcome shame and cultivate self-acceptance, and build healthier relationships.
If you’re struggling personally, or wanting to improve your relationships, I’d like to help. Don’t let your past or present frustrations negatively impact you for one more day. Life can get better. You deserve a healthy, happy relationship and fulfilling life. I look forward to working with you and helping you experience happiness and peace again.
I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota with a BA in psychology in 2006. I continued my studies at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, where I earned my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2009. I have experience providing home-based services, outpatient therapy, eating disorders treatment, inpatient and intensive outpatient therapy services. I am an approved clinical supervisor with the state of Florida, and a clinical fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT). I continue to train in effective, research-based approaches that have demonstrated results in helping individuals and couples experience happy, healthy relationships, including Sue Johnson’s Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and John Gottman’s work, as well as trauma-focused CBT and Brene Brown’s work on shame resilience.
I currently reside in St. Augustine with my husband and young son. In my free time, I enjoy cooking with my husband, singing and playing the piano, and getting to know the new friends I’ve met at my local church. I am excited to learn to surf…an activity that I started but quickly halted last spring due to my pregnancy.
I’m looking forward to working with you and am grateful for the opportunity to be part of your journey towards healing your most important relationships. If you’re ready to schedule an appointment, click on the link below. Or, feel free to give us a call at (904) 302-5340.
