Growing up I lived in the small Midwest town of Fairfield, Iowa. As a military spouse, mother of five (three step-children) ages 4-14, a divorcee, a friend, a sister, and a daughter, I have a breadth of life experience that allows me to bring a unique openness and empathy to my work as a family therapist. I am thrilled to join the distinguished FTAJ team!
Being part of a blended family, I am familiar with the challenges and struggles. I’d love to help you navigate those challenges, and assist you and your family to experience a cohesive and bonded family unit. In addition, I am passionate about helping military families and can relate to many of the trials and tribulations of being a military family who are often under pressure and on the move. If you’re a same-sex couple, I can help you process the myriad of challenges with minority stress, relational ambiguity, and obstacles to forming cohesive support systems among other typical couples’ challenges.
If you’re struggling in life or in your relationships, I would love to walk alongside you in your journey. I welcome you to come as you are, and I will offer empathy and compassion. I look forward to working with you.
