Debbie Pound – Therapist in Jacksonville, FL

I am originally from Virginia, but have lived all over the world due to my husband’s Navy career. I have worked with children and families for over 20 years in various capacities, but have found my true passion helping couples, families, and individuals through therapy at Family Therapy Associates.
Who I can help
Children & Adolescents: Self-esteem, bullying, social skills, peer relationships
Couples: Communication, conflict resolution, premarital counseling, emotional & physical intimacy
Individuals: Anxiety, depression, work-life balance, relationship challenges, cultural identity
Families: Parenting, parent-child relationships, extended family dynamics
Biography
I have always been drawn to helping others and loved raising and homeschooling my three children. I followed this passion by earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Christian Counseling from Liberty University and am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the same institution.
When not helping others I can be found with my feet in the sand, reading a good book. I also enjoy being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and cooking a delicious meal.
NOTE: Debbie Pound is acquiring the clinical hours required to complete a mental health counseling degree and is under supervision provided by Ida Holem and Dr. Tabitha Johnson.
