Hi, I’m Eligia Hodges. I am so excited to be a part of the amazing team at Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville, and even more excited to help you and your relationships. I am a husband, camping and hiking enthusiast, and Florida native.
Who I can help
Men: I help men with self esteem or identity challenges, anxiety and depression, anger issues, and pornography, alcohol, or sex addiction.
Couples: Are you struggling to connect? I can help you want to find better ways to communicate, fight fair, and want to feel more romance and passion again. I can also help you through the process of infidelity recovery.
Parents: If you’re struggling with parenting, or your children are causing problems in your romantic relationship, I’d love to help. Being a parent has it’s tough moments, but certain situations can add even more stress, such as dating after children, blending a step-family, or if your child suffers with behavioral or social challenges. If you’re at your wits end with parenting your child, or you’re experiencing relationship distress with your partner, you don’t have to manage it alone. I can help you reconnect to your mate, offer strategies for parenting, and help you experience more peace.
Adolescents: I help teens and pre-teens struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, social interactions, break-ups and bullying.
I attended Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, where I received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Theology. I am in the process of completing my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regent University. I have significant experience leading groups for those struggling with anger, depression, substance abuse, relationships, and sexual addiction. I have also spent a considerable amount of time working with adolescents.
For those interested, I can incorporate faith into the counseling process. I am also able to provide therapy without faith being part of the process, if you choose.
In my free time I enjoy the outdoors through fishing, camping, and hiking.
NOTE: Eligia Hodges is a master’s student intern acquiring clinical hours required for his degree, and is under supervision provided by Dr. Tabitha Johnson and Kristen Montiel. Sessions may be recorded for training purposes.
