Jennifer Kollasch – Therapist in Jacksonville, FL

Working in various leadership positions with corporations and volunteer organizations allowed me to gain valuable insight into people’s challenges, joys, and aspirations. I wanted to continue offering gentle, compassionate support to those facing life’s difficulties, making counseling the next natural step. I am excited to have that opportunity here at Family Therapy Associates.
Who I can help
Individuals: I believe that every individual’s story is worth telling, and by unpacking
those experiences together, we can better understand how they have shaped their lives
and how we might help them overcome challenges as they arise.
Couples: If you have difficulty with communication, conflict resolution, or intimacy, we can work together to strengthen those areas of your relationship.
Adolescents: I strive to build meaningful therapeutic relationships with adolescent clients, offering them a safe environment in which to set personal goals and explore paths toward success.
Parents: Parenting can be difficult! I would love to work with you to support your parent-child relationships and extended family dynamics.
Biography
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Literature and Philosophy from the University of North Florida, after which I spent time in ministry, working with my local youth group. I enjoyed working alongside young adults to create a space where teens could feel seen, heard, and valued. I am currently enrolled in Walden University’s Master of Science program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, developing tools to help individuals work through their struggles and embrace personal growth.
One of my greatest joys is my family, and I enjoy spending time with my husband, my children, and our many animals. When not helping others, I can be found hiking
(although not in the summer heat), baking, crocheting, and spending time with family
and friends.
NOTE: Jennifer Kollasch is acquiring the clinical hours required to complete a mental health counseling degree and is under supervision provided by Ida Holem and Dr. Tabitha Johnson.
