Hello! I’m Jonathan. Originally from western Canada, I moved here to be closer to family and pursue my education. Now a proud Flagler Beach resident, I’m grateful to enjoy my two favorite hobbies—surfing and golfing—year-round in the beautiful Florida climate.
I believe in the power of professional, evidence-based therapy that is both empathetic and insightful. My approach is grounded in systems-based thinking, which means I see people as part of a bigger picture—shaped by the relationships and environments around them. I believe our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the families, communities, and cultures we’re a part of. By looking at these connections, I help clients identify patterns and find ways to improve communication and build healthier relationships with themselves and others. This approach lets me really focus on what’s unique to each person and work together toward lasting, meaningful change.
I also offer a focus on integrating spiritual competencies into counseling. This means I’m attuned to exploring spiritual themes, dreams, personal purpose, and ultimate meaning alongside proven therapeutic methods.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to you, your health, and your well-being. It would be a privilege to partner with you as you navigate your healing journey and work toward a brighter future.

Biography
I attended the University of Alberta and completed my Bachelors of Science in Human Ecology with a focus on Family Science. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Stetson University.
Since attending Stetson, I have received certifications in Prepare & Enrich, Gottman level 1, Awakened Awareness facilitation, Suicide Prevention & Assessment, and Trauma Informed CBT. I am working towards certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy and Internal Family Systems.
In my free time I like to surf, golf, mountain bike, rock climb, and watch hockey with my girlfriend. I am a reluctant coffee snob and foodie. And I have recently discovered the magic of Trader Joe’s.
NOTE: Jonathan Pfuetzner is acquiring the clinical hours required to complete a mental health counseling degree and is under supervision provided by Ida Holem and Dr. Tabitha Johnson.
