Hi, I’m Jess. I moved to Jacksonville seventeen years ago from the panhandle of Florida. I was formerly a middle school teacher before I began pursuing my true calling as a mental health counselor. I am passionate about helping people recognize their own strengths and work toward achieving their goals, as well as facing the storms of life. I am delighted to join the amazing team at Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville.
Who I can help
Individuals: Stress management, work-life balance, anxiety, depression, mindfulness
Adolescents: Depression, anxiety, coping skills, self-esteem, social skills, social media awareness, communication skills, stress management, healthy relationships
Families: Communication skills, appropriate boundaries, parent-child relationship, inlaw and extended family concerns, sandwich generation concerns, caregiving support, dementia, anticipatory grief
Couples: Communication, conflict resolution, emotional and physical intimacy concerns
I attended Florida State University Panama City Campus for my Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Social Science Education and Political Science. I taught all of the middle grades for eight years across several counties, as well as teaching coping skills in the individual and group setting for high school-aged adolescents before staying home to raise my children.
I am in the final year of my Master’s degree program in clinical mental health counseling at Liberty University as a remote student. I am a member of the American Counseling Association.
I have three children including two sons ages 13 and 10, and a little princess who just turned 5. I enjoy spending time with my family and my Blue Heeler named Bo. I am an avid reader of thrillers and a yoga beginner!
NOTE: Jessica Roling is acquiring the clinical hours required to complete a mental health counseling degree and is under supervision provided by Ida Holem and Kristen Montiel. Sessions may be recorded for training purposes.
