Hi, I’m Jess. I moved to Jacksonville seventeen years ago from the panhandle of Florida. I was formerly a middle school teacher before I began pursuing my true calling as a mental health counselor. I am passionate about helping people recognize their own strengths and work toward achieving their goals, as well as facing the storms of life. I am delighted to join the amazing team at Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville.
Who I can help
Individuals: Life is stressful with many twists, turns, and speed bumps along the way. I can help individuals with stress management, work-life balance, anxious thoughts, feelings of depression, questions of self-worth, and identity.
Adolescents: I love working with teens! Adolescence is a time of growth and learning who we are and our place in the world. I can help adolescents with anxious thoughts, depression, managing stress, cultivating healthy relationships with family and friends, acceptance, and self-esteem.
Families: We have many roles in life including our family of origin, extended family, and the family we create. I can help families refine their communication skills, develop appropriate boundaries, manage the ever-changing parent-child relationship, and foster ongoing connection.
Couples: Are you feeling disconnected from your partner? The busyness of life, responsibilities, work, and family expectations can leave you feeling drained and disconnected from your partner. I can help couples strengthen their communication, increase emotional connection, learn to fight right, foster intimacy, and rekindle passion. Have you experienced infidelity? I will walk alongside you through the process of healing from emotional or physical infidelity.
