Veena Jeedigunta

Hello! My name is Veena Jeedigunta. Born in India, I immigrated to the United States at the age of 2, with my parents and brother. We have moved over 20 times in my life, so I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people of all different ages and backgrounds. After getting married and starting my own family, life brought us to Jacksonville, Florida. We instantly fell in love with the city and decided to settle down.

I have always had a desire to help empower the people around me to live their fullest life. I believe that the adversity I have witnessed around me, as well as the obstacles I have overcome myself have given me a unique perspective. Being a part of Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville provides me the opportunity to support you and other clients during challenging times. I believe that you know yourself better than anyone else, and I am here to guide you on your journey of healing.

Biography:

I grew up in New Jersey, and completed my undergraduate degree in India, where I attained my Medical Bachelor’s and Bachelor’s in Surgery (M.B.B.S.) degree. I am currently obtaining my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at National-Louis University, as a remote student. After coming back to the United States, I worked in various clinical settings, including nursing homes, clinical research, hospitals, and in-patient services, which nudged me into the holistic healing process of counseling and therapy.

My husband and I have been happily married for the past nine years and have two lovely girls, ages 7 and 3.

My hobbies include music, writing, reading, and enjoying a day out with my family.

NOTE: Veena Jeedigunta is acquiring the clinical hours required to complete a mental health counseling degree and is under supervision provided by Ida Holem. Sessions may be recorded for training purposes.
