Lauren Brummitt – Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Jacksonville, FL

Hi, I’m Lauren Brummitt! I am so excited to be a part of the amazing team at Family Therapy Associates of Jacksonville. Born and raised in the Jacksonville area, I am honored to help the individuals, couples, and families (like yourself) who call our amazing city home.
My passion for helping others came from watching my mother love and serve my grandparents at the end of their lives. This experience has given me a fervor for couples experiencing the stress associated with being a part of the sandwich generation. Through my former experiences as an in-home health aide and other volunteer opportunities, my passion grew for caregivers, people with disabilities, and the geriatric population.
Who I can help
Individuals: If you’re struggling with obstacles and barriers to mental, physical, and spiritual wholeness, I can help. If you’re feeling depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed with life’s challenges, you don’t have to continue feeling this way. Life can be better.
Women: Do struggle with self-worth? Are you overwhelmed by society’s unrealistic standards? I can help you explore your feelings, learn to value and appreciate yourself for who you are (all of you), and rewrite your story.
Couples: Newly engaged? or married for years? I can help you with communication and conflict resolution skills that are vital for a healthy marriage. If you’re struggling with emotional or physical intimacy, I can help you feel reconnected.
Caregivers: Are you struggling with caregiver burnout? Are you in need of some self-care? I can help you make a plan so that you feel empowered to care for yourself as you’re caring for your loved one.
Bereaved: If you’ve experienced a loss, I am here to support and provide a caring presence during this difficult time. Enjoy a safe, supportive space for you to grieve and heal.
I am excited to help you achieve health and happiness in your relationships. If you’re ready to see improvement in your relationships and well-being, I’d love to work with you. I provide a safe and welcoming environment for you to experience growth, acceptance, and healing. In addition, I can incorporate Christian faith-based counseling into our work together if desired.
